Fixing Patient Recruitment for Clinical Trials

As a team, we realized the issue was clear: the current approach to advertising trials and finding patients was outdated. Pharma and academia were using old, inefficient methods, and as a result, patients were getting lost in the process, and trials were missing deadlines because they couldn’t recruit enough participants.

It became personal when a close friend of ours tried to find a clinical trial for his mom. Without a medical background, he struggled to make sense of ClinicalTrials.gov, and even when he applied, he rarely heard back. That was the tipping point for us. In a world where apps like Uber and AirBnB make complex tasks simple, we realized clinical trials should be just as easy to access.

That’s why we built AllClinicalTrials.com (it was called Curify back then) in early 2020, right before COVID hit. We set out to fix patient recruitment. Since then, we’ve collaborated on over 20 studies with academia and pharma, successfully referring more than 10,000 qualified patients.

In 2024, Halyna joined us as Head of Product, having developed products for top companies like Booking.com. With her expertise, we’ve pushed even further to build the simplest, most effective platform for patients to find and enroll in clinical trials.

80% of clinical trials miss their deadlines due to recruitment problems. That’s not just an inconvenience—it’s a missed opportunity for patients who need these trials and new treatments. Our mission is to bring that number to zero. And we’re not stopping until we do.
